US Futures Flat, European Stocks Mixed

U.S. futures for the S&P 500 were down 0.1% and futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.1%. Changes in futures do not necessarily predict movements after the opening bell.

In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 climbed 0.1% in morning trading. Sonova Holding rose 6% and Rheinmetall added 4.7%. On the other hand, MorphoSys slipped 29.7%, and TeamViewer dropped 8.5%. The FTSE 100 lost 0.1%. Other stocks in Europe were mixed as France's CAC 40 declined 0.1% and Germany's DAX climbed 0.1%.

The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index dropped 0.3% to 97.84.

In commodities, Brent crude dropped 0.5% to $81.93 a barrel, and WTI crude fell 0.5% to $77.46 a barrel.

The German 10-year Bund yield fell by 4 basis points to 2.577% from 2.615%, and the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury declined by 2 basis points to 4.4% from 4.422%. Bond prices and yields move in opposite directions.

Stocks in Asia were mixed as Japan's Nikkei 225 index dropped 0.1%, and Hong Kong's Hang Seng declined 0.2%. China's benchmark Shanghai Composite held steady.
