Bowman Gets On-Call Engineering Contract With CN Rail
By Robb M. Stewart
Bowman Consulting secured a multi-year on-call engineering services contract with Canadian National Railway.
The Virginia-based engineering services company said Thursday it will provide as-needed engineering and design work at various CN locations in the U.S., including railway bridge and track design, drainage and stormwater management, transportation engineering, and field surveys.
The first order under the contract is a $700,000 construction management services assignment on project in the suburban Chicago area, which it said would include construction of sheet pile retaining walls, excavation, embankment work and the replacement of the current stormwater management system for the construction of a secondary mainline track.
The on-call contract establishes a long-term relationship between the companies and presents multiple opportunities for future collaboration and expansion, Bowman said.
