Anglo American, Jiangxi Copper Sign Partnership on Responsible Copper Production
By Elena Vardon
Anglo American on Thursday said it has agreed to collaborate with Jiangxi Copper Company on the responsible production of copper as it seeks to create sustainable value chains beyond its own mining operations.
The multinational mining company said it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese group during a visit to its headquarters and that they will work together to "provide greater assurance" on how copper is mined, processed and brought to market.
