By Dominic Chopping
Norway's Kongsberg Gruppen said Friday it has received an order worth 1.35 billion Norwegian kroner ($122.1 million) from Raytheon for naval strike missiles to the U.S. Navy.
Raytheon is prime contractor to the U.S. Navy and Friday's order relates to a previously announced framework deal for the U.S. Navy Over-The-Horizon Weapon System program.
In a separate announcement, Kongsberg said its Kongsberg Digital Holding unit has raised $90 million from Shell Ventures and Idekapital.
Shell Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of Shell while Idekapital is an Oslo, Norway-based venture and growth capital firm.
The investment values Kongsberg Digital at $540 million post-money, it said.
Kongsberg Digital Holding was established in 2016 to provide software and digital solutions for heavy asset industries, focusing on the maritime, renewable and energy industries.
