Naturgy to Buy Ardian's ASR Wind for $583 Million
By Adria Calatayud
Naturgy said Tuesday that it reached an agreement with Ardian to buy ASR Wind for 536 million euros ($583 million), in a deal that boosts its renewables portfolio in Spain.
The Spanish energy company said ASR Wind's portfolio comprises 12 renewable-energy projects in Spain, including 422 megawatt of regulated operating wind assets and a pipeline of 435 megawatt peak solar photovoltaic hybridization projects. The deal represents a step forward in Naturgy's strategic plans, the company said.
Naturgy said the price of the acquisition translates into an enterprise value of EUR650 million, including debt.
The deal is expected to be completed by July and remains subject to competition clearance, Naturgy said.
