TENICA Global Solutions Appoints Two Industry Veterans to Board of Directors
Frank Calvelli and Rodney Alto bring a combined six decades of national security, intelligence and space leadership experience to support TENICA’s next phase of growth
TENICA Global Solutions (“TENICA” or “the Company”), a leading provider of integrated engineering, mission operations, cybersecurity, and digital modernization solutions supporting critical space, intelligence, and defense missions, today announced that it has appointed Frank Calvelli and Rodney Alto to its Board of Directors, effective immediately.
“Frank and Rodney have spent their careers leading complex, world-class missions across the Intelligence Community and defense sectors,” said Nicholas Scherling, President and CEO of TENICA. “They know firsthand what it takes to succeed in the face of some of the toughest national security challenges. Their expertise and strategic perspectives will be invaluable as we continue to scale our platform, expand into new verticals and pursue the significant growth opportunities ahead.”
These appointments follow McNally Capital’s recent majority investment in TENICA and reflect a shared commitment to supporting the Company’s long-term growth and ability to contribute to critical national missions. Mr. Calvelli brings more than 36 years of experience in national security, space acquisition and intelligence systems, including senior leadership roles at the Department of the Air Force and National Reconnaissance Office, while Mr. Alto brings more than 35 years of experience at the CIA, most recently serving as Director of its Global Infrastructure Office.
“From the outset of our investment, we recognized the significant opportunity ahead for TENICA and the importance of surrounding its leadership team with individuals who can help realize that potential,” said Ward McNally, Co-CEO and Managing Partner of McNally Capital and Chairman of the TENICA Board of Directors. “Frank and Rodney are proven leaders whose highly relevant experience will help guide the Company’s strategic priorities as we continue to invest in its capabilities and support its long-term growth.”
“Over the past 18 years, TENICA has built a strong reputation for delivering critical capabilities in support of a number of our nation’s most important missions,” Mr. Calvelli added. “I have tremendous respect for Nick, Ward, and the broader Board and leadership team and look forward to bringing my expertise to bear as the organization continues to build a brand that will service the national security industry of the future.”
Mr. Alto commented, “Having spent a career at CIA and in the Intelligence Community, I can attest that the solutions TENICA provides its clients are invaluable to aiding some of our nation’s most consequential national security efforts. In front of TENICA is a unique opportunity to expand the ways in which it supports the Intelligence Community and broader national security ecosystem, and I am eager to work alongside the Board as we identify new opportunities for growth and position the business for continued success.”
