Longview Research Partners Hires Alec Messino to Lead ETF Growth
Messino to lead advisor relationships, 351 exchange education and business development for LRP’s growing suite of ETFs
Longview Research Partners (LRP), an investment management firm on the leading edge of evidence-based investing products, announces its hiring of Alec Messino as the firm’s first ETF Growth Lead as the firm continues to innovate in the ever-expanding ETF space.
Messino will lead advisor outreach and business development for LRP’s growing ETF lineup. The firm’s flagship fund, The Longview Advantage ETF (EBI), launched in 2025 through a successful Section 351 exchange, allowing participating investors to transition eligible existing portfolios into the fund’s diversified, evidence-based equity strategy tax-deferred. As LRP develops additional ETFs, Messino will educate advisors on the strategies and help them evaluate the fit for their clients. He will also guide advisors through opportunities to participate in the firm’s future Section 351 exchanges, where available.
“LRP has reached a stage in its life-cycle where we knew we needed someone who has our same evidence-based philosophy to spearhead the firm’s continued growth,” said Matt Zenz, co-founder of LRP. “Alec is the perfect fit as someone who is not only aligned in our thinking, but who we also know will take this role and run with it.”
Messino brings experience from both the advisory and asset-management sides of the industry, coming to LRP after stints at Austin-based Capitol Wealth Strategies and previously, Dimensional Fund Advisors, where he worked in the firm’s strategic client engagement group. Messino’s philosophical understanding of evidence-based investing and experience working with evidence-based funds makes him the perfect fit to be LRP’s first dedicated ETF growth hire.
“We’ve built investment strategies we believe are genuinely different and valuable, and now we want more advisors to know about them,” said Matt Hall, co-founder of LRP. “Matt Zenz and the team have done an exceptional job on the investment side. Alec’s job is to help us tell that story, build relationships with great firms, and turn that work into growth. We’re just getting started.”
Messino will lead LRP’s outreach and relationships with RIAs, advisors, investment committees and firms looking for differentiated, evidence-based solutions.
“I’m thrilled to be able to work with such an innovative team here at LRP,” said Messino. “In an industry filled with redundant investment products that don’t serve the investor, Matt Zenz and LRP have designed and implemented these ETFs so the end investor can see the value proposition immediately. I’m excited to get started with such a great team.”
