FS Introduces Software-Driven Wi-Fi 7 Campus Solution for High-Density Connectivity
FS, a global provider of ICT products and solutions, introduces its Software-Driven Campus Network Solution for Wi-Fi 7 High-Density Connectivity. Designed for enterprise campuses facing growing wireless capacity and digital transformation demands, the solution combines Wi-Fi 7 access points, PicOS campus switches, and AmpCon management software for campus networks (AmpCon) to provide scalable infrastructure with centralized network operations.
As Wi-Fi 7 increases wireless capacity, higher-speed access and uplink connectivity become increasingly important in high-density deployments. FS addresses these requirements with a multi-rate architecture supporting 2.5G, 5G, and 10G access, together with high-performance campus switching designed to provide the bandwidth and low-latency connectivity required by demanding applications. This enables organizations to align network capacity with deployment requirements while establishing a foundation for future infrastructure evolution. FS plans to further expand its Wi-Fi 7 portfolio, providing additional options as campus connectivity needs evolve.
AmpCon extends this architecture from network infrastructure to centralized operations. The platform provides centralized management for wired switches and wireless access points, with template-based deployment, Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP), centralized configuration, network visibility, and telemetry-driven analytics. Automation can reduce manual configuration effort, while built-in monitoring and analytics help IT teams identify operational issues, troubleshoot more efficiently, and scale network infrastructure with greater consistency. With the upcoming AmpCon-Campus 3.0 release, these management and automation capabilities will be available at no additional cost, helping organizations simplify campus network operations and improve deployment efficiency.
The solution also incorporates security capabilities to support enterprise campus access and device protection. 802.1X authentication, RADIUS/TACACS, and policy-based access control help organizations manage user and device access and segment network resources. Hardware-based trusted boot helps protect device integrity by ensuring that only trusted code can run on network devices.
Designed for long-term flexibility, the solution supports a gradual transition from Wi-Fi 6 to Wi-Fi 7, allowing organizations to upgrade wireless infrastructure progressively as requirements evolve. PicOS provides a programmable network operating system that can support a more flexible network architecture and reduce reliance on a single networking supplier. Automation and visibility capabilities are available without additional licensing fees, helping organizations manage network operations as infrastructure requirements change.
