Openly Continues Award-Winning Momentum with PropTech Home Insurance Solution of the Year Recognition
Openly, a premium insurance provider, has been named Home Insurance Solution of the Year by the PropTech Breakthrough Awards. The honor is the latest among 10 awards Openly has earned in 2026, including three sole-category product wins and individual recognition for a member of its claims team.
The PropTech Breakthrough Awards, now in their fifth year, are part of the Tech Breakthrough platform and evaluate property technology companies, products, and services from around the world. An independent judging panel scores entries on innovation, performance, user experience, market impact, and value. The program drew thousands of nominations across categories, including property management, construction tech, financial services, and insurance. Openly was the sole winner in the Home Insurance Solution of the Year category.
“Every one of these recognitions traces back to the team we’ve assembled,” said Ty Harris, CEO and Co-Founder of Openly. “We set out to build a company where talented people could do their best work, and that’s showing up in the product we’re delivering to our agent partners and their policyholders. We’re proud of where Openly stands today, and we’re building toward something much bigger.”
The industry wins are part of a broader year of recognition, including:
- PropertyCasualty360 – 2026 Insurance Luminaries Awards, MGA, Excellence in Claims Management (sole category winner)
- Fintech Breakthrough Awards – P&C Insurtech Solution of the Year (sole category winner)
- Forbes – America's Best Startup Employers
- Inc. – 2026 Best Workplaces
- USA Today – America's Best Customer Service, Financial Services
- Built In – Best Remote Places to Work, Best Midsize Places to Work in Boston, and Best Places to Work in Boston
Openly’s claims team also earned individual recognition in 2026. Insurance Business America named Taylor Dennis, Senior Manager of Claims Operational Excellence, one of its Rising Stars, a distinction for top insurance professionals under 40. Both programs draw from across the property and casualty industry, signaling the depth of Openly’s claims operation.
