Moderne Named a Leader in the Inaugural Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for AI-Augmented Code Modernization Tools

Moderne, the Agent Tools company for AI-driven software engineering, today announced it has been named a Leader in the inaugural Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for AI-Augmented Code Modernization Tools.
As coding agents take on more of how software gets written, the harder problem is everything that comes after. Code already running in production still has to be upgraded and secured as frameworks and dependencies shift underneath it, and now that work has to happen continuously, at the pace agents set. AI-augmented modernization is how enterprises keep up.

This is the second inaugural Gartner Magic Quadrant to recognize Moderne in 2026. In May, Gartner named Moderne a Visionary, the only vendor placed in Visionaries Quadrant, in the inaugural Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Technical Debt Management Tools. This placement as a Leader follows a period of significant platform expansion, including the introduction of Agent Tools capabilities such as Prethink, Trigrep, and Changelog, as well as expanded language support across Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C#, Kotlin, Go, and Scala.
