“It’s been a great privilege to build and lead Hudson,” said Hudson CEO Chris Gallagher. “I’m simply ready for a change in direction. I will be leaving Hudson with a very strong management team, significant market strength, and I am confident it will continue to thrive.”

Odyssey Group CEO Carl Overy added, “Chris has led Hudson with distinction since 2009, and we are eternally grateful for his leadership and 24 years of dedicated service. We wish him the very best in his next endeavor.”

As part of Hudson’s succession plan, Trevor Howard will be appointed chief underwriting officer and Andre Virgilio will assume the role of chief operating officer for Hudson Crop & Livestock.

“Promoting from within is vital to preserving our culture and maintaining our underwriting discipline,” stated Overy. “Both Trevor and Andre have been outstanding performers, and these promotions recognize their leadership, contributions and readiness for expanded responsibilities.”

Howard joined Hudson in 2018 and currently serves as the head of HudsonPro, with additional responsibility of overseeing Hudson’s Commercial Auto, Surety, Subcontractor Default Insurance and Ceded Re departments. Virgilio joined Hudson in 2012 and is currently the Head of Hudson Crop & Livestock.
