The investment seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation. The fund manager employs an active management approach, investing mainly in common stocks of companies located outside the United States that are considered by one of the fund’s advisors to be undervalued. Under normal circumstances, it invests at least 80% of its net assets plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in value stocks.
