On Feb. 17, 2023, Vanguard announced that William (Bill) Coleman will no longer comanage Vanguard Balanced Index. The firm promoted Coleman to head of U.S. ETF Capital Markets. He was replaced by Michael Roach and Aurélie Denis, who joined the firm in 1998 and 2016, respectively. Deep benches, a team-based approach, continuity of senior management and leadership, and the new comanagers’ appropriate credentials eliminate concern over the change. The strategy maintains its Above Average People rating and Morningstar Analyst Rating of Silver across all shares.
