The investment seeks high current income and, secondarily, capital appreciation. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests primarily in fixed-income securities and derivatives that provide exposure to fixed-income securities. The fund's investments may include fixed-income instruments of any maturity or duration. It may invest in other investment companies, including ETFs and government money market funds, shares of REITs and restricted securities. The fund may invest a significant portion of its total assets in non-investment grade securities, and in U.S. Treasury obligations.
