Strategy

The investment seeks to maximize total return. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in equity securities. It seeks to achieve its objective by employing an active investment strategy that invests primarily in the stocks comprising the S&P 500 Index, the fund's benchmark index. The fund typically invests directly in common stocks, but may also invest in derivatives that provide exposure to the stocks of the companies in the benchmark.
