Summary

Guggenheim's corporate credit team numbers more than 50 and is led by capable high-yield veterans. Thomas Hauser has been with the firm for more than 20 years, and the firm named him as a comanager on Guggenheim High Yield in 2017. He has handled much of its day-to-day coordination since. Chief investment officer Scott Minerd passed away in December 2022; Guggenheim later named chief investment officer Anne Walsh, fixed-income chief investment officer Steve Brown, and veteran trader John Walsh to the roster for this strategy. The firm ran the fund aggressively before Hauser’s time but has improved its risk management since then and has otherwise run the strategy more cautiously than most of its competition.
