On July 6, 2020, Shenkman Capital announced that Justin Slatky will now assume the role of sole CIO, having previously held the position of co-CIO alongside Mark Shenkman. Shenkman, who founded the firm in 1985 and has spent 51 years in the investment industry, will remain president of Shenkman Capital, continuing to contribute to the firm's macro views and manage client relationships. Slatky, who joined the firm in 2011 from Goldman Sachs where he was co-head and managing director of distressed bonds, has been a portfolio manager on Shenkman Capital Short Duration High Income since 2016. Shenkman and Slatky remain on the fund, alongside experienced managers Nicholas Sarchese, Jordan Barrow, and Neil Wechsler.
