Western Asset named investment-grade corporate bond manager Molly Schwartz to Western Asset Corporate Bond on March 1, 2024. In recent years, Schwartz, who has roughly 20 years of industry experience, spent her time on the US Broad Markets team focused on US Long Duration mandates. But this is a return to her roots: She spent many years under Ryan Brist’s corporate credit team as a trader and portfolio analyst. At the same time, Western removed pro forma manager and co-CIO Ken Leech from the fund, while co-CIO Michael Buchanan remains. This change does not impact the strategy’s Above Average People and Process ratings.
