On Sept. 1, 2020, Capital Group announced that effective Oct. 1, 2020, David Daigle will no longer be a portfolio manager on American Funds Capital World Bond. Daigle has managed the high-yield sleeve of this strategy since 2014. Generalist comanagers Thomas Høgh, Robert Neithart, and Andrew Cormack will remain in place and will tap a firm-centralized high-yield sleeve, which will replace the strategy-specific high-yield sleeve currently run by Daigle. Høgh and Neithart have each been comanagers on this strategy for over two decades, while Cormack became a comanager in 2019, having joined the firm in 2018 following 14 years at Western Asset.
