Effective Oct. 1, 2020, parent firm Capital Group has publicly named Cheryl Frank and Jessica Spaly as portfolio managers on American Funds AMCAP. Longtime manager Claudia Huntington will retire on the same day, as previously announced, but that's not the fund's only upcoming retirement. Capital Group also announced that 21-year firm veteran Eric Richter will step down on Nov. 30, leaving in place an eight-person management team after his departure.
