Virtus AllianzGI Focused Growth’s newest comanager, Nina Gupta, abruptly resigned from subadvisor AllianzGI and is no longer a manager on this strategy effective Aug. 4, 2021. Gupta’s surprising departure continues an unwelcome pattern of manager churn on this strategy; she’s the eighth manager to depart since 2009. However, her involvement here was limited--she’d been a comanager for just four months--so her departure does not affect the strategy’s Average People rating or Morningstar Analyst Rating of Neutral.
