Analyst Note

Longtime MFS municipal-bond manager Geoffrey Schechter will retire on Sept. 1, 2025, according to the firm. Schechter joined MFS in 1993 and has led MFS Municipal High Income and MFS Municipal Income since 2002 and 2000, respectively. His comanagers Megan Poplowski and Jason Kosty, who both have over two decades of muni experience, will absorb his management responsibilities and continue using the same team-based approach after Schechter retires.
