NYLI Income Builder is Under Review following a management change. On Aug. 10, 2026, New York Life Investment Management announced that portfolio manager Amit Soni will step down from the fund at the end of August 2026 to pursue an opportunity outside the firm. NYLIM had named Soni as a comanager just one month earlier, in anticipation of key leader Jonathan Swaney's April 2027 retirement. Soni had comanaged other NYLIM asset-allocation strategies with Swaney since 2016, and his addition here represented a clear succession plan. However, his exit so soon after being named leaves that plan in question.
