Strategy

The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in long and short positions in equity securities. The equity securities in which the fund invests are primarily common stocks of large-capitalization U.S. companies and derivatives with economic characteristics similar to such securities. It takes long and short positions in equity securities.
