Analyst Note

Effective Jan. 26, 2024, Christopher O’Malley became a comanager on Janus Henderson Overseas. He began working alongside lead manager Julian McManus as an assistant manager on this strategy in 2023. Prior to that, he was an analyst focusing primarily on European industrials; he was also the industrials sector head. Overall, he has 26 years of industry experience and seven years at Janus Henderson. O’Malley’s promotion to comanager backfilled a vacancy created when former lead manager George Maris left unexpectedly in August 2023. While it is encouraging that Janus can promote from within, O’Malley is untested as a first-time manager. Additionally, McManus—although experienced— lacks a relevant record independent of Maris, so he is also relatively untested as a manager. The strategy retains its Average People and Above Average Process ratings.
