Janus Henderson Mid Cap Value's sole subadvisor, Perkins Investment Management, will be undergoing some changes. Currently a wholly owned subsidiary of Janus Henderson Investors, the Chicago-based Perkins will restructure to be fully integrated with Janus Henderson, effective May 2021. The Perkins investment team will become employees of Janus Henderson, with the exception of CIO Gregory Kolb, who will depart when the restructuring is complete. He joined the firm in 2010 and became CIO in 2015, introducing several process enhancements to the team's research and decision-making, which are still in place. However, he was not involved in the day-to-day management of this strategy. Comanagers Justin Tugman and Kevin Preloger will remain, as will the analyst team, including director of research Patrick Schott. They will continue to be based in Chicago, and the defensive value approach also will be unchanged.
