Capital Group veteran Paul Flynn will relinquish his American Funds International Growth and Income manager duties on November 1 and retire from the firm at the end of 2023. While Flynn has been with Capital Group for 25 years, he has only been a manager on this strategy for roughly six years and oversaw 9% of its assets as of March 2023. The strategy’s six other managers remain, including a few undisclosed managers that have the capacity to absorb Flynn’s allocation. As a result, Flynn’s planned departure does not alter the strategy's High People Pillar rating or its Morningstar Medalist Ratings.
