Wellington Management Company announced that longtime municipal-bond manager Timothy Haney will retire from the firm on Dec. 31, 2024. Among other duties, Haney has managed Hartford Municipal Opportunities since 2012. The strategy currently earns a People Pillar rating of Average and a Process Pillar rating of Above Average. Haney's comanager on the strategy, Brad Libby, will remain. Libby joined Wellington Management in 2010 and has served as a portfolio manager and credit analyst on the fund since 2012. To further prepare for that transition, the team also named Elizabeth Kleinerman to the strategy, effective Nov. 14, 2023. Kleinerman joined Wellington Management in 2001 and transitioned to the fixed-income team in 2004. She is currently a managing director and fixed-income portfolio manager and has been involved in securities analysis for the fund since 2021.
