Michael Swell, longtime manager of Goldman Sachs Bond GSNIX and Goldman Sachs Core Fixed Income GSFIX, is retiring at the end of 2021. Ashish Shah, who joined the firm in 2018 and is co-head of the firm's global fixed-income and liquidity solutions group, became a comanager on these funds in January 2019 and will be the sole lead when Swell steps down. Whitney Watson, who joined the firm in 2005, is head of portfolio construction and risk and will be taking on more of Swell's high-level oversight of the core fixed-income strategies.
