Analyst Note

Goldman Sachs announced that Collin Bell, a comanager of Goldman Sachs Income Builder since February 2016, will be moving to another role at the firm and will no longer be a member of the Fundamental Equity team or a portfolio manager for the fund. Kevin Martens, vice president and portfolio manager on the Fundamental Equity team, will assume Collin’s portfolio management responsibilities for the income builder fund, effective immediately. Bell’s departure is disappointing, marking the fourth portfolio manager departure since early 2016. Because the fund’s Below Average People Pillar rating already reflects the ongoing manager instability at the fund, there is no need to adjust the fund's Morningstar Analyst Rating. The fund’s five other comanagers remain in place.
