On Feb. 7, 2023, Fidelity announced Geoff Stein's promotion to chief investment officer of global asset allocation, effective immediately. Stein succeeds Bill Irving, who will now solely focus on his role as president of Fidelity Asset Management Solutions. Stein will maintain most of his portfolio management responsibilities in the United States, including his role as comanager on the Fidelity Asset Manager series. However, he will transition his responsibilities on Fidelity Stock Selector All Cap FDSSX to Chris Lee and be removed from the multiple Fidelity Canada strategies he comanages. In his new role, Stein will oversee Fidelity's global asset-allocation portfolio managers. Though he will continue to comanage the Fidelity Asset Manager series, his promotion means Avishek Hazrachoudhury will gradually assume more of a lead role. Given Stein's continued presence on the series, his promotion does not impact the People Pillar rating of Average or Morningstar Analyst Rating of Neutral across all portfolios.
