Effective Feb. 15, 2024, decade-long Allspring portfolio manager Kandarp Acharya departed the firm and came off the roster of multiple multi-asset strategies, including Allspring Diversified Income builder. Acharya has since started a new position at Aperio, a BlackRock-owned firm. This manager change does not affect the fund’s People Pillar rating of Average. Portfolio managers Petros Bocray and David Kowalske are now in charge of the fund. Kowalske only joined the roster in mid-January 2024, though he has been with the firm since 2014 and the multi-asset group since 2018. Kowalske’s background in risk management and familiarity with the team make him an appropriate fit for this strategy. The team has seen other changes in the last two years, but the multi-asset teams’ collaborative approach and resources mitigate concerns around these changes.
