Diamond Hill Small-Mid Cap DHMIX reopened to new investors Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023, after being closed for seven years. Its pillar ratings and overall Morningstar Medalist Ratings remain unchanged. The fund has trailed small- and mid-cap core and value categories and indexes since it closed to new investors in May 2016. Since 2018, the fund has seen $955 million in net outflows, and assets have fallen from an August 2018 peak of more than $2.5 billion to about $1.9 billion as of August 2023.
