David Riley has stepped off of American Funds Capital World Growth & Income’s now seven-person management team in anticipation of retiring at year-end from American Funds’ parent Capital Group. Manager Sung Lee, who heads up this fund's team, is running the assets that had been allocated to Riley until an oversight committee decides on their permanent home. The committee could decide to spread those assets across the remaining managers, bring on another experienced manager, or give them to an undisclosed manager on the fund who has done well and is ready to be named publicly.
