On Oct. 1, 2020, Columbia Threadneedle announced that Colin Lundgren, global head of fixed income, will retire in 2021. While Lundgren plans to remain with the firm through 2021, he will be succeeded by deputy global head of fixed income Gene Tannuzzo effective March 1, 2021. Lundgren and Tanuzzo have been running Columbia Strategic Income since June 2010. Lundgren has spent his entire career at Columbia and legacy firms. He has been a portfolio manager since 1995 and was named global head of fixed income in 2017. Tannuzzo has also spent his entire career at the firm, joining the municipal-bond team in 2003 and working on multisector taxable fixed-income portfolios with Lundgren since 2007. In November 2017, Jason Callan, who is head of the firm’s structured assets team and has been with the firm since 2007, was named comanager. Callan also runs Columbia Bond UMMGX and Columbia Total Return SRBFX with Tannuzzo.
