Summary

Over the past two years, Vishal Khanduja and Brian Ellis have rebuilt the core of this income-oriented, sustainability-screened bond fund without changing the process that defines it. Khanduja has run the strategy since January 2013, and Ellis joined him in November 2015. The pair has provided continuity through Eaton Vance's purchase of Calvert and Morgan Stanley's later acquisition of Eaton Vance. The fund now draws on Morgan Stanley's macro, high-yield, bank-loan, and securitized research alongside Calvert's independent environmental, social, and governance team. The group’s newfound depth has made a difference; for example, a London-based analyst sourced the fund's new stake in Danish covered bonds in 2025.
