Capital Group announced that effective March 1, 2021, Robert Neithart will no longer be a named portfolio manager on American Funds Bond Fund of America ABNDX. Neithart will focus exclusively on emerging-markets debt going forward and will continue to contribute to this strategy's emerging-markets debt allocation, which stood at 3% as of September 2020. While Neithart's contribution to this offering won't change, he will no longer be listed here given the modest role of emerging-markets debt in this strategy. Principal investment officer Pramod Atluri and comanagers David Hoag, Fergus MacDonald, and David Betanzos will remain named managers on the strategy.
