Columbia Threadneedle has announced that Brian Condon, comanager of the $3.4 billion Columbia Disciplined Core AQEAX and several related funds, will retire as of May 31, 2020. Condon has been with Columbia and its predecessor companies since 1999, and in 2009 he founded the firm's Systematic Strategies Group, which uses quantitative models in an effort to modestly outperform a benchmark while staying close to the benchmark's sector weightings and other factors. He has comanaged Columbia Large Cap Enhanced Core CECYX and its separate account version since 2009, and Columbia Disciplined Core, Columbia Disciplined Growth RDLAX, and Columbia Disciplined Value RLCAX since 2010.
