After 38 years with Capital Group, Lawrence Solomon will step off American Funds Growth Fund of America on June 1, 2023, and retire from the firm at the end of the month. Jody Jonsson will step off the strategy on Nov. 1, 2023, to focus on other responsibilities at the firm. Early this year, this firm announced Jonsson, who leads the firm’s Capital Research and Management subsidiary, will become vice chair of the management committee in October and continue as president of CRMC and chair of the CRMC executive committee. She will still serve as a manager on American Funds New Perspective ANWPX.
