Strategy

The investment objective of the portfolio is to seek to secure, in real terms, the steady growth of capital. Investments to be included in the portfolio will, apart from assets in liquid form, consist solely of participatory interests of at least two portfolios of collective investment schemes registered in the Republic of South Africa or operated in territories with a regulatory environment, which is to the satisfaction of the manager and the trustee, of a sufficient standard to provide investor protection at least equivalent to that in South Africa. The portfolios may consist of a combination of equity, asset allocation, fixed interest and real estate portfolios. The allocation of investments to be included in the portfolio will be appropriate for retirement funds. The net equity asset allocation of the portfolio may be up to a maximum of 75% of the aggregate market value of the portfolio.
