Vanguard FTSE Canada Index ETF VCE Strategy
Strategy
The Fund seeks to track, to the extent reasonably possible and before fees and expenses, the performance of a broad Canadian equity index that measures the investment return of publicly traded securities in the Canadian market. Currently, the Fund seeks to track the FTSE Canada Domestic Index (or any successor thereto). It invests primarily in the largest Canadian stocks. In order to achieve its investment objective, the Fund employs a “passive management” - or indexing - investment approach designed to track the performance of the FTSE Canada Domestic Index. The Fund invests all, or substantially all, of its assets in the stocks that make up the FTSE Canada Domestic Index, holding each stock in approximately the same proportion as its weighting in the FTSE Canada Domestic Index.
