Invesco Equally-Weighted S&P 500 equally weights on the largest U.S. equities, in effect creating a tilt toward mid-cap stocks. This approach requires high turnover to maintain, adding to the fund’s transaction costs while adding volatility to the portfolio. Investors might be better off with a simple mid-cap index fund. As such, both the Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF and all share classes of the Invesco Equally-Weighted S&P 500 mutual fund are limited to Morningstar Analyst Ratings of Neutral.
