Summary

Ongoing team turnover remains a challenge. Despite significant changes to the Matthews India management team in recent years, the strategy remains in the hands of a capable portfolio manager. However, broader turnover across the investment teams, including India-focused analysts, introduces some uncertainty around the depth of research support and the consistency of process execution. As a result, we have downgraded the Process Pillar to Average from Above Average while maintaining its Average People Pillar rating.
