RWE: Secures 2.1 GW in Long-Awaited German Gas Capacity Auction; Shares Attractive

The German grid regulator has awarded approximately EUR 12 billion in contracts to build 5.2 GW of gas-fired power plants. RWE secured three plants totaling 2.2 GW of capacity, or 41%. The remainder went to LEAG, owned by Czech-backed EP group.
