Newmont Earnings: Higher Gold Price Drives Another Strong Quarter

Newmont's third-quarter adjusted NPAT of USD 2.3 billion, or USD 2.20 per share, rose 23% on a year ago, driven by a 22% higher realized gold price. This more than offset lower sales volumes and higher unit costs. Its ASX-listed shares closed 4% lower, similar to peers, as the gold price fell.
