Abbott Labs: Solid Quarterly Results, but Firm Looks Forward to Shedding Nutrition

Abbott reported third-quarter revenue growth of 15% year over year, boosted by the addition of Exact Sciences. Reported earnings fell 44% due to increased amortization, legal settlements, and acquisition costs. Abbott also indicated the nutrition business will be spun off in late 2027.
