Samsung SDI’s June-quarter revenue recovered from last quarter and operating income returned to profit after six quarters. Lithium-ion battery sales grew 19% year on year due to strong demand for energy storage systems, or ESS, and electric vehicle, or EV, battery demand remained lackluster in US.
