BYD’s first-quarter automobile segment revenue fell 16% year on year due to sluggish volume sales, but vehicle pricing staged a meaningful rebound thanks to a higher export mix. Coupled with a lackluster handset components business and exchange loss, net profit declined 55% year on year.
