Summary

Personal Assets Trust is a strong choice for investors seeking capital preservation and long-term capital growth. Consistent implementation of a straightforward process distinguishes it from the competition. The trust’s experienced board approves the broad asset allocation ranges within which Sebastian Lyon and Charlotte Yonge of Troy Asset Management manage the portfolio on a day-to-day basis. Yonge joined Troy in 2013 and was promoted from assistant fund manager to comanager of Trojan Fund and Personal Assets in May 2025, recognizing her already high level of input to decision-making. Lyon has more than three decades of experience in multi-asset investing. He formed Troy in 2000, with the backing of Lord Weinstock, to focus on long-term absolute return investment. The group provides a very solid and supportive environment for Lyon and Yonge, who work alongside other experienced investment professionals. Lyon has a strong independent track record on the Trojan fund since 2001. He was an investor in personal assets long before Troy became its manager in 2009, and he has a substantial personal shareholding in the trust. Troy believes that preservation of wealth is an important step in the overall growth of assets in the long term. This ethos has served its investors well over time, helping the trust to deliver impressive long-term returns while providing shelter in the most adverse markets.
