Exploring the Role of Semiliquids in Retirement Outcomes
Few have been able to quantify the value of private assets in retirement plans, but as talks of incorporating these assets into retirement plans grow, it has become necessary to explore. In this piece, we attempt to quantify the value of private market investments in retirement plans, modeling the representative private market vehicle as a “semiliquid” collective investment trust and exploring varying allocations on a diverse set of actual plan participants to examine the distribution of outcomes.
